The digital world supplies us with endless possibilities. People can communicate visually, orally or textually all around the world and do so with no time restraints. Digital programs allow us to manipulate and create any image, written text or video we wish, and with the availability of technology, we can capture moments of horror, awe, love and other priceless memories.
The digital world has a lot to offer, but many would argue that this realm of communication and representation threatens our nation and global society. Are we too reliant on the digital world? What if servers fail us? What would our citizens do if our communications fail? These questions and many more pose interesting and debatable issues which test and probe the idea of a digital world. But can the digital world be used to only benefit our society. Can a society morally and ethically function and economically grow with the influence of media and the digital world? This blog page will present perspectives on this debate.
